Seamless Kitchen & Garden Retreat – Exmouth
Before:
- Outdated kitchen with limited character and standard finishes

- Outdoor area lacking identity, cohesion, and purpose
- No dedicated spaces for relaxation or lifestyle-driven features
- Planting and layout not reflective of client’s personality or travels
- Absence of atmosphere for evening use or entertaining

After (Delivered by BGR Designs):
- Bespoke MDF cabinetry in bold orange tones with terrazzo worktops
- Expansive green-framed windows flooding the kitchen with light and garden views
- Tropical-inspired garden with bold architectural planting and layered textures
- Outdoor bath nestled among ferns and candles for a private retreat
- Hammock, integrated seating, and atmospheric lighting for versatile relaxation
- A unified design connecting indoors and outdoors into one seamless living experience
Designed and built from MDF cabinetry, this kitchen proves that simplicity can be striking when combined with the right finishes. The warm orange tones of the units are perfectly complemented by terrazzo worktops, which bring texture, colour, and personality into the heart of the home.
Green-framed windows frame views directly onto the garden, flooding the space with natural light and blurring the lines between inside and outside. Playful styling – from vintage scales to bold lighting – gives the kitchen its own unique character.
Kitchen design highlights:
- Bespoke MDF cabinetry in a bold, modern colour
- Durable and stylish terrazzo worktops
- Large picture windows connecting directly to the garden
- A kitchen full of personality, designed to suit the lifestyle of the clients
The Garden
Step outside and the design flows seamlessly into an outdoor retreat inspired by nature and travel. Tropical planting, textured surfaces, and bold architectural forms create a space that feels like an escape, while still being deeply connected to the home.
One of the standout features is the outdoor bath, framed by ferns, candles, and natural textures – the ultimate spot for relaxation. A hammock, atmospheric lighting, and carefully curated planting complete a space that is as practical as it is beautiful.
Garden design highlights:
- Tropical-inspired planting with bold architectural forms
- Outdoor bath set within a naturalistic setting
- Hammock and seating areas for relaxation
- Integrated lighting design for evening ambience
- A space designed to adapt and evolve with the family
This Exmouth project is a perfect example of how thoughtful design can bring together kitchen and garden spaces into one seamless living experience – practical, personal, and full of character.
